Disney movies were a solid part of our childhood (and our adulthood tbh!)
And while it’s hard to choose which are the best Disney-Pixar movies, we have managed to pick 20 of our faves.
Obviously, there’s a ton of movies missing, we could only pick 20 and these are our personal faves – don’t @ us!
#20 PETER PAN
Peter Pan wanted to stay a kid forever and the older we get, the more we understand him tbh. We also can’t forget cute lil Tinkerbell who will literally die if you don’t believe in her. We relate to this one way too much.
#29 POCAHONTAS
The star-crossed romance between Pocahontas and John Smith was so sweet in this film. Plus, the songs are super catchy – ‘Colours of the Wind’ is the best right?
#18 PINNOCHIO
Pinnochio follows the story of a woodcarver who builds a puppet “Pinnochio” as a substitute son. But, the little puppet soon discovers that his nose grows when he lies – talk about teaching you a valuable life lesson!
#17 MULAN
Mulan pretends to be a man and joins the Chinese army in order to save her elderly father from being conscripted. While the learning curve is steep for her, she ends up saving her city. Yass girl power!
#16 THE LITTLE MERMAID
A love story about a mermaid who falls in love with a prince – amaze music and great underwater scenes.
#15 MOANA
Moana sets out on a mission to save her people by crossing the Pacific Ocean and fulfilling the ancient quest of her ancestors. This is legit the first Disney movie where the leading lady is the hero and we stan her.
#14 UP
Carl Fredrickson is ready to fulfill his lifelong dream and fly to South America by tying thousands of balloons to his house. Unknown to Carl he has brought a visitor with him, Boy Scout Russell.
#13 MONSTERS, INC.
There are so many things we love about this movie including the friendship between Mike and Sulley and the adorbs relationship between Sulley and Boo. Little Boo is honestly the cutest cartoon character eva.
#12 THE INCREDIBLES
A family of undercover superheroes, while trying to live the quiet suburban life, are forced into action to save the world. SO GOOD.
#11 ALICE IN WONDERLAND
An oldie but a goldie. Alice stumbles into the world of Wonderland, where she’s stalked by a Cheshire Cat and tormented by the Queen of Hearts.
#10 FINDING NEMO
Another life lesson right here: just keep swimming, fam. Where would we be without Dory and her good advice?
#9 LILO AND STITCH
A little girl living in Hawaii can’t believe her luck when she finds a new dog, even though he doesn’t really act like a dog. Filled with Elvis music, this movie is just so great.
#8 FROZEN
A kingdom trapped in winter is saved by Anna who must find her sister, the snow queen Elsa to break her icy spell. This movie also spawned the song ‘Let It Go’ which has been stuck in our head since it was released in 2013.
#7 THE EMPEROR’S NEW GROOVE
Narcissistic Emperor Kuzco gets turned into a llama and has to return to human form to claim the throne.
#6 THE JUNGLE BOOK
Another movie filled with AMAZING music. ‘I Wanna Be Like You’ is the best.
#5 TARZAN
Tarzan was raised in the Jungle by gorillas after being orphaned and believes they are his family. His life becomes more complicated when he finally meets his own kind: humans.
#4 TOY STORY
All of the Toy Story films are amazing but we can’t go past the very first movie that started it all. We’ll always love you, Buzz and Woody.
#3 ALADDIN
A great soundtrack, magic carpets, genies, and sarcastic parrots. What more could you want from a Disney movie?
#2 BEAUTY AND THE BEAST
A human falls in love with a beast and her love turns him back into a human. Plus the live-action remake has Emma Watson in it. Need we say more?
#1 THE LION KING
A lion cub is tricked by his uncle into thinking he caused his fathers death. It’s only when he grows older that he realises his responsibilities and identity. Again, this movie is filled with bangers. ‘I Just Can’t Wait To Be King’ and ‘Circle of Life’ are bops.
