The scene then cuts to Max (Sadie Sink) sitting at her brother Billy's grave, who was protrayed by Dacre Montgomery.
"Dear Billy, I don't know if you can even hear this... ever since you left everything has been a total disaster. For a while we tried to be happy, normal, I know that's impossible," Max says.
Queue many mentions of a war coming to the town of Hawkins, before the text: "every ending has a beginning" engulfs the screen. In their prequel era đ.
Elle (Millie Bobby Brown) is soon told that without her, they can't win the war. Not them having to rely on a high school student đ©.
If we remember at the end of last season, Elle, Will (Noah Schnapp) and Joyce (Winona Ryder) uprooted from Hawkins to start a new life. But with her friends in danger, it seems 11 might have to come back.
At this point in the trailer, Dustin (Gaten Matarazzo) pipes up with a pearl of wisdom, adding: "people say that Hawkins is cursed,"... thanks babes, we'd figured that out x
This is the second teaser we've seen in the lead up to the fourth season. The first trailer sparked quite a frenzy as fans spotted a telling clue about the character of Will. More on that here.
According to Netflix, in this season, "a new and horrifying supernatural threat surfaces, presenting a gruesome mystery that, if solved, might finally put an end to the horrors of the Upside Down".
If this *really* is the end of Stranger Things then it's definitely loss for a us... but at least it's a win for the actors' hair autonomy.Â
The fourth instalment of the sci-fi juggernaut is hitting Netflix on May 27Â (Volume One) and July 1 (Volume Two).
