So, if you don't wanna know went down, turn back now.
The season premiere brought a lot of juice, but things are getting even more crazy in episode 2.
What we know right now is that Fred Andrews is alive, but everyone is pretty sure that there's someone out there who tried to kill him, not rob Pop's diner.
#Varchie and #Bughead are doing well, and Cheryl is 100% insane and we're loving it.
We also saw that Miss Grundy was murdered at the end of episode 1, making us believe that there is a serial killer on the loose, and somehow his victims are all linked to Archie.
So, let's dive right in shall we?
Archie is revved up on energy drinks and no sleep because he's on a mission to find out who shot his dad.
He nearly wacks Juggy with a baseball (by accident) he's so wired.
Betty and Archie ask Betty's mum, Alice, to get details on Miss Grundy's murder, to see if it is linked to Fred's shooting.
Archie buys a gun from Dilton after Reggie warns him that a baseball bat isn't enough to protect him from a murderer.
VERONICA'S FAMILY DRAMA
#HotRiverdaleDaddy3: Hiram Lodge is still trying to get through to Veronica, but she isn't having it.
Remember that letter that Veronica was given in season 1 that was from her 'dad', threatening her mother Hermione if she didn't testify? Well, Veronica brings it up in front of her mother and Hiram, but Hermione claims she wrote the letter. Not Hiram.
However, later on we find out that Hermione was just covering for Hiram. He really did write it, and threaten his wife. Yikes. Veronica doesn't know this.
After the shooting that happened in the diner, it looks like the place might be getting closed down. Betty and Veronica make it their mission to keep the diner open.
"Another B and V team up, they should really make a video game about you two," Jughead tells them, satisfying every #Beronica stan in the world.
The Mayor refuses to help Pop's and FP Jones, causing Jughead to very Serpent-like threaten her with, "You remember this moment, because this is the moment you turned your back on Pop Tate and my father."
The town come together to host a night for the diner, reviving it. However, Alice lets Betty know that she has created a safe haven for the serpents to do their drug deals. Yikes.
FP. JONES/JUGHEAD/PENNY PEABODY
Jughead is referred to a Southside Serpent Lawyer, or "snake handler" as they call her. She works for the serpents and keeps them out of trouble, and decides to help Jughead with getting his dad out of jail.
FP Jones is facing 20 years OR 40 years... Juggy is scared and it's adorable.
Penny finds a loophole, claiming that if the victim's family (the Blossom's) forgive FP Jones, then he will be pardoned.
Jughead and Betty ask Cheryl and her mother for mercy, but they refuse. Eventually, Betty threatens Cheryl with the video of Clifford Blossom (Cheryl's father) shooting Jason Blossom.
"You're a stone cold b*tch, Betty Cooper," Cheryl tells her, almost in awe. YEAH DARK BETTY IS HERE.
Eventually, Jughead gets a frantic call from his dad, when he finds out that he saw Penny Peabody. "You went to see Penny Peabody??? You asked HER for help??" FP yells into the phone.
"Did you pay her?"
"No she said it was a favour," Jughead tells him.
"DO not contact her again. If she reaches out, don't respond. You do not want to be in bed with a snake charmer," FP says, hanging up.
Okay, so Reggie has been clearly painted as the school drug dealer. A student we've never seen before called Midge Klump asks him for a new drug called "Jingle Jangle," which we think will become important later on.
She requests the drug for her and Moose, her BF, another new character.
Unfortunately, Archie asks Reggie for something to "keep him awake."
"Until the guy who shot my dad is caught, I want to be on high alert," Archie tells him. Archie on drugs and with a gun? This is going to get dangerous.
THE NEXT MURDER ATTACK
YEP, you heard us. There is another attack from the ~angel of death~.
Midge and Moose are making out in their car in the woods, while on the drug Jingle Jangle... and the murderer comes up to the car... shooting them.
