Who is Whitney Peak?
Whitney Peak is currently playing Zoya Lott in the Binge’s Gossip Girl reboot alongside Jordan Alexander (who plays her half-sister, Julien Calloway), Emily Alyn Lind (Audrey Hope), Thomas Doherty (Max Wolfe), Eli Brown (Otto “Obie” Bergmann) and Evan Mock (Akeno “Aki” Menzies).
In what we’ve seen so far, (spoiler alert if you have yet to watch) Zoya moves to Constance Billard in the Upper East Side of Manhattan after she is granted a scholarship. Initially unbeknownst to Zoya, her half-sister Julien bought Zoya’s place in the school.
Since Zoya’s move, her and Julien’s relationship has been up and down. But even though Julien’s boyfriend Obie literally dumped Julien to only immediately start dating Zoya (yikes), we still think deep down Julien’s got Zoya’s back. Though, it is Gossip Girl after all… so who knows what’s in store.
But while we are constantly thrown curveballs on screen, thanks GG, real life is much easier to get our heads around. And so, we’ve done a deep dive into the actress behind Zoya… Whitney Peak. Although, unlike Gossip Girl, we’re not compiling potential ammunition, we’re simply curious about the rising star.

What is Whitney Peak’s age?
Whitney celebrated her 18th birthday earlier this year on January 28th. Get it Aquarius!
Where was Whitney Peak born and raised?
Whitney was born in Kampala in Uganda. Her Ugandan mother is a hairdresser while her Canadian father is a helicopter pilot and engineer; she is the youngest of four siblings.
The 5’4” actress lived and attended a boarding school in Uganda until she was about nine or ten years old, at which point she and her family moved to Vancouver in Canada. Her family also spent time in Dubai due to her father’s work.
Speaking of her upbringing, Whitney revealed that she felt more free after moving to Canada.
“In Uganda, the culture that you’re born into is kind of what you follow throughout the rest of your life, but when I came here, it felt more like I had the option to be my own person and choose where I wanted my life to go,” the teenager told Interview magazine.
In her younger years, Whitney was into dancing, acrobatics, fashion, as well as competitive swimming. In fact, she was even coached in the latter sport by a Sudanese former Olympian.
What is Whitney Peak’s acting history?
Gossip Girl may have given Whitney her breakout role, but the Upper East Side certainly isn’t the first place the actress has appeared on our screens.
The 18 year old’s debut TV movie role was in Campfire Kiss in 2017, followed shortly by a gig in the film Molly’s Game. Years later, Whitney became a series regular on the popular Netflix series The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina. She has also appeared in Home Before Dark, iZombie and more.
Whitney has confessed that it was only since booking Gossip Girl that she seriously considered acting as a career path.
“(Acting) is always something that’s been fun for me and I’ve been lucky enough to be able to pursue it, but I don’t think there’s been a moment where I’ve said, ‘This is what I’m going to do for the rest of my life.’ I mean, actually, probably when I booked Gossip Girl,” the young starlet told Interview.
“That was a big eye-opener for me and I was like, ‘Oh my goodness, this is actually something that I could potentially do for the rest of my life’, which is a dream and it’s amazing and I’d totally love to do that if I was given the chance to”.

What is Whitney Peak’s dating status?
According to all accounts, Whitney is currently single. But considering she’s only just turned 18 and is already dominating her career, we think the star has got more important things to worry about at the moment.
