It’s official, tiny bikinis are here to stay. Blame it on climate change or just celebs succumbing to iso-boredom like the rest of us. Miley, Ari and Dua all debuted tiny bikini looks this year and the latest celeb to hop on the trend? Actress and singer Vanessa Hudgens.
In a new video posted to her IG, Hudgens and two backup dancers go through a Pussycat Dolls dance routine. And since it’s by the pool, the proper swimwear is required, naturally.
Hudgens wore a tiny nude bikini for the routine, which she explained in her caption was to celebrate a friends birthday. “HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my only friend that teaches me tik tok [sic] choreo. I love you @bobbynewberry and wish u nothing but the best in the year to come.”
The former High School Musical star has been vocal about her dislike of quarantine—she shared an IG story captioned “Day dreaming [sic] bout life- post Covid”—but it looks like she’s making the most of it regardless. Hudgens just returned from *checks notes* a luxury tropical vacation in Turks and Caicos, so you know, she’s not doing too bad.
At least the dance video is better than the wildly insensitive one she posted in March. In the IG vid, Hudgens fiddles with her hair as she says flippantly: “Um, yeah, ’til July sounds like a bunch of bulls–t,” about a potential quarantine.
“I’m sorry, but like, it’s a virus, I get it, like, I respect it, but at the same time I’m like, even if everybody gets it, like yeah, people are going to die, which is terrible but like, inevitable?” the actress added.
Y i k e s. She has since apologised and appears to be staying in her lane now.
