You may recognise Tammin Sursok from her polarising role as Jenna Marshall on the hit show Pretty Little Liars, or even as Siena (Jackson’s GF) from Disney’s Hannah Montana, or maybe even as Dani Sutherland from Aussie’s very own Home and Away.
The actress truly has quite the bullet point to her resume.

After travelling all over for her craft, Tammin is now back in Australia for some new projects. And the 37-year-old tells Girlfriend that she has enjoyed being able to be more in “control” of her art.
“My husband and I have a production company and we’ve done some projects recently that have been my favourite to do just because I had some control over where the character is going to go and where I could really push myself in terms of being an entertainer and an actress,” the former PLL star says.
Tammin goes on to credit Home & Away for making her well known and catapulting her into other opportunities, like Hannah Montana and Pretty Little Liars, describing the latter experience as “the first time (she) was really put on the map in the States”.
“That show really changed my life in America. They were all different experiences and meaningful because of where I was at in my life.
“Hannah Montana came at a time where I really wanted to work on my comedy and I really wanted to see how far I could push myself in that realm. I was able to have a safe place where I could just kind of play and, for me, that was the first time I was ever able to do that in front of a live studio audience. It gave me the skills that I hadn’t had before.”

Since being back in Australia, Tammin has spent some time in the Gold Coast filming her new movie You, Me and the Penguins. Of course, being back in beachy Australia was always bound to remind Tammin of her days as Dani Sutherland on Home and Away.
“There’s a lot of scenes where we were on the beach, and it was definitely reminiscent of that time. There was a familiar feel and smells. There was a lot of nostalgia shooting now and really remembering that time which was completely life changing for me as a 15-year-old.”
And when she’s not busy with her latest projects or with her family, the actress has been spending some time on TikTok.
Earlier this month, the 37-year-old certainly got fans talking after posting a clip about the questions she gets asked all the time about her PLL experience.
The questions included:
“Are you blind in real life?”
Her answer: Nope!
“Was everyone nice on set?”
Her answer: Shhhh I’ll never tell
Did you want to be A?
Her answer: Every damn day!!!
The video has garnered over a million views and over 1000 comments – a lot of them wanting the actress to go into more detail about the second question.
“Everyone wants to know all the secrets behind the scenes and it’s funny to me that people think that no matter where you work, everything’s always fine and dandy,” Tammin tells Girlfriend.
“No matter what field you work in, no matter where you are in your workplace there’s always some shenanigans and some drama. And that’s the same for TV shows. There’s always something that goes on behind the scenes.”
Well, just like the PLL theme song says, Tammin may just have a secret but it looks like she can, indeed, keep it.
