Last week, a report by Page Six reported that Scott Disick had split with his girlfriend Sofia Richie after nearly three years together. The same report also sparked rumours that the breakup was in some way influenced by his feelings towards the mother of his three children and Keeping Up With The Kardashians star, Kourtney Kardashian. And now, after the two were seen on a weekend vacation to celebrate Disick’s birthday, an insider just spilled the tea on whether they’re back together.
According to Hollywood Life, the 21-year-old model decided to end things after she felt that Disick loved the KUWTK reality TV actress more than he loved her.
“Scott is always going to be in love with Kourtney, and that’s something Sofia has had to face since even before she got serious with him,” an insider told the outlet. “It’s been an ongoing thing.”
“It just became more apparent that his family was more of a priority than she was, and his family would be his main priority over anything and anyone. He will always put her on this pedestal and has never loved another woman quite in the way in which he loved her.”
So, does this mean that Scott Disick and Kourtney Kardashian are destined to be back together again? To end up happily ever after? Well, uh, according to the source, no. The pair, who, during the U.S. Memorial Day Weekend last week, went on a desert vacation with their kids that so happened to be on the same weekend as Disick’s 37th birthday, are allegedly better off as co-parents than partners.
“It was that first true love type of feeling,” the source told Hollywood Life. “Romantically, it won’t happen, but they are the best of co-parents and friends and just want the other to be happy.”
“They just don’t work well as boyfriend and girlfriend. Scott does hold a special place in his heart that is a little differently than Kourtney, but he knows they’re just better off not together.”
