Earlier this week, one fan started a rumour that former One Direction member Niall Horan is dating Killing Eve actress Jodie Comer. But, according to Horan, that’s absolute baloney.
The dating rumour started from Twitter user @villanellaaa, who shared a photo of Horan in gym gear, claiming that a signet ring in the photo was a reference to the very same ring Comer’s Killing Eve character wears. As they see it, this is substantial enough evidence to “confirm” that the two are dating.
But look, just because we love Darren Barnett as Paxton Hall-Yoshida in Never Have I Ever, it doesn’t mean we’re automatically dating him (a gal can dream can’t she?).
The “Moral of the Story” singer previously tweeted that he’s a big fan of the show, which stars Comer as Villanelle, a psychopathic serial killer enthralled in the life of MI5 spy Eve Polastri (Sandra Oh). But, uh, that’s about where the rumour adds up.
So, what did Niall Horan have to say about this allegedly “confirmed” rumour he’s dating the actress from one of his favourite TV shows? Well, let’s just say he was confused at the whole thing, to say the least.
In fact, compared to this rumour, it’s more likely that he’s “dating” Crownbeeolive’s Liz, a girl behind an Instagram account that claims it’s run by the 1D boys. Anyway, don’t believe everything you see on the internet, gang—especially if it’s a throwaway tweet from Stan Twitter.
