Naya Rivera’s ex-husband and her family are banding together to help raise the late actress’ son, Josey. After her tragic drowning was confirmed after a prolonged search earlier this year, many of the actress’s friends and Glee family expressed they’d be there for her five-year-old son. Now, her sister Nickayla Rivera seems to have stepped up to do exactly that.
According to reports from multiple sources, Naya’s ex-husband and Josey’s father, Ryan Dorsey, has moved in with her sister Nickayla Rivera. Apparently, the pair have moved into a three-bedroom home together and were spotted shopping at a Target for household necessities.
“They seem really comfortable together and are obviously helping each other through a very difficult period in both their lives,” a source told one outlet. “They’re obviously helping lift each other’s spirits.”
Dorsey has previously expressed how important it is for his and Naya’s son to remember his mother. In a touching tribute he posted after her passing, Dorsey wrote: “There’s not enough words to express the hole left in everyone’s hearts.”
He continued, “Life is all about good times and bad times but with Josey it makes the bad a little less so because a part of you will always be with us. He’ll never forget where he came from. We miss you. We will always love you.”
This news comes after reports about how Josey is handing the loss of his mother, which seem to suggest he’s as okay as someone could be, given the circumstances. We wish this little family is well and hope they’re healing together. ♥
