Apparently Harry Styles has joined the cast of Marvel’s latest film, Eternals, and somewhere a DC casting director is probably crying.

Yeah, so Mr. Watermelon Sugar Harry Styles has reportedly joined the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Eros (AKA: Starfox. AKA: Thanos’ brother) in the film Eternals.
The premiere for the movie was yesterday and multiple sources reported that Harry made an appearance in one of those infamous post-credit scenes.
Variety film reporter Matt Donnelly wrote on Twitter: “Big reveal from #TheEternals premiere — Harry Styles has joined the MCU as Eros, brother of Thanos”.
Rumours that Harry was joining the MCU have been swirling for a while now. The singer has been linked to multiple stars of the film, including Salma Hayek and Kit Harrington.
It was in June that Salma told Ellen Degeneres that her pet owl coughed up a hairball on Harry’s head, prompting fans to speculate that the two were hanging out in between filming for Eternals.
Two months later, The Tonight Show host Jimmy Fallon asked Kit Harrington if the rumours that Harry was joining the MCU were true, to which the former Game Of Thrones star played dumb.
“No idea, unless I’ve been re-cast and he’s playing my part, not a clue,” he said.
Doubling down, Jimmy tried to trick Kit into revealing a little too much, asking: “So you guys did scenes separately?”
“I — ooh,” Kit laughed. “No comment… I hear he’s a great guy.. lovely chap, I think. I don’t know, I’ve never met the guy.”
Harry, of course, is no stranger to acting. His debut role was as Alex in Christopher Nolan’s Dunkirk. He has also wrapped filming for the psychological thriller Don’t Worry Darling, directed by his girlfriend Olivia Wilde, and Michael Grandage’s My Policeman, co-starring his pal Emma Corrin.
But what’s up with his latest gig? Scroll on for everything we know about Marvel’s Eternals and Harry’s role.

Who does Harry play?
Harry is apparently playing the character of Eros (or Starfox), who is Thanos’ brother. Y’all remember Thanos, right? The dude that snapped half the Marvel characters into oblivion at the end of Infinity War? Yeah, that guy.
Apparently, Eros has the ability to stimulate the pleasure centres in the brains of people near him. The casting director really read that and said, “Get me Harry Styles on the phone”.
Does he have a big role?
Ummm, reportedly he’s pretty much only visible for 30 seconds at the end. Will that stop us from buying a ticket? Absolutely not.
When is it hitting cinemas?
November 5th, 2021. See you there.
