While most fans are continuing to wait in anticipation for Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik’s baby to arrive (her due date is this month) others are convinced that the model may actually have already had her baby! Yup, as well as her sister Bella Hadid’s recent Instagram post, Gigi’s father Mohamed Hadid has just shared an extremely touching letter welcoming their baby.
The sweet letter appears to reveal the news that we all suspect: the #Zigi baby is here. “Welcome my little grandchild. I wish for you the sun and the moon,” he shared in the note, which appears to be a poem he wrote himself, titled: “Grandpa’s heart.”
“Hello little grandchild, it’s me, my heart as happy as can be. I wish for you the sun and moon. I wish for you a happy time. Know that Grandpa’s always near, I’ll do anything, anything for you my dear. When I heard you were on the way, I smiled and wiped a tear away. I cried the tear because I know, my heart would always belong to you,’ he finished.
The post was captioned with the same message in Arabic and English, “In the name of God the The merciful I want to say l love you and so proud of you. @gigihadid.” We’re not crying, you’re crying.
Needless to say, fans of the couple have flooded to Twitter (seriously, just hop into the #ZIGI tag) to discuss the note and congratulate the couple on their baby. We mean, Bella “can’t stop crying,” her dad is “so proud,” it’s pretty strong evidence!
Earlier this week, Gigi’s sister Bella Hadid shared a glimpse of them together from earlier in Gigi’s pregnancy and it got people talking.
Unlike the full-on fashion maternity photoshoot that Gigi shared pics from earlier, this snap is a bit more low-fi. The sisters are standing together in a field as sunset, cradling their bellies. In the post caption, Bella marked the pic as one from June and joked that she too had a bun in the oven. “Two buns in the oven except mine is from my burger and gigi’s is from @zayn,” she wrote.
Fans reckon that the latter part of her caption, “i love you both so freaking much -can’tstopcrying,” means that Gigi and Zayn have already welcomed their baby.
As one fan wrote, “There is no way someone puts a date, a (i cant stop crying), a baby emoji and a i love you both(gigi and baby). It is here.”
Others were a little more speculative, asking, “Wait Does this mean that Gigi gave birth to the baby?” and “Omg what if gigi’s had the baby….. like we’ve been saying that she’s due this week and its been quiet.”
Tbh, we dunno! But if she has given birth to the lil angel we hope they’re both healthy and enjoying some rest.
