Thanks to a very lavish birthday gift from on-and-off partner Offset of the rap trio Migos, “WAP” rapper Cardi B has entered into the ranks of celebrities with the biggest diamond rings in history.
Blowing past Jackie Kennedy’s 40-carat marquise cut VS2 clarity diamond from tycoon Aristotle Onassis and Mariah Carey’s 35-carat diamond ring from billionaire James Packer, Cardi B received a ring-and-band set that reportedly weighs in at 100 carats, according to Bossip.
The ring—aptly named the ‘Titanic diamond’—was created specifically for the rapper by New York-based jewellers Pristine Jewelers.
The heart-shaped diamond, set on a diamond-encrusted eternity band, was paired with another matching band also studded with heart-shaped diamonds.
“Thank you sooo much babe @offsetyrn I can’t believe it 😱Deum @pristine_jewelers ! I’m so happy ❤️Soo grateful,” wrote Cardi B of her gift.
Offset, more liberal with his use of capitals, wrote: “TITANIC DIAMOND 💍 💎 HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY QUEEN U DESERVE EVERYTHING THAT COME YOUR WAY I LOVE YOU AND OUR FAMILY TOGETHER.”
This isn’t Cardi B’s first colossal rock from Offset. In October 2017, the rapper received an eight-carat pear-cut diamond from her husband, which is surrounded by a double halo of white and light pink diamonds.
Wondering what it looks like when she wears both at the same time? Hint: a very heavy hand…
FYI, earlier this year, it was revealed that Cardi B had filed for divorce from Offset, but the two have since reunited.
