We all know the ultimate insult in this day and age is to be blocked by someone on the ‘gram. So when Nick “Honey Badger” Cummins pressed that brutal button against his former Bachelor love interest Brooke Blurton, it was a huge middle finger.

Speaking on Girlfriend fave Abbie Chatfield’s It’s A Lot podcast, Brooke spilled the beans on what caused her to be blocked, and it all stemmed from a controversial Invasion Day post.
“He just blocked me… we had no communication in the last couple of years, and I’ve loved it because I’ve been able to move past that part of my life,” Brooke shared.
“My friend [commented] on his Australia Day post, ‘Aren’t you glad you dodged a bullet?’ and then I wrote, “#oath”. And he just blocked me.”
In January, Nick had sparked controversy by posting an Indigenous Australian proverb on the 28th of January.
“We are all visitors to this time, this place. We are just passing through. Our purpose here is to observe, to learn, to grow, to love… and then we return home,” it read.
Meanwhile, during Brooke’s stint on The Bachelor way back in 2017, she famously quit the series just before the finale despite being the front-runner.
Nick ultimately opted to choose no one, leaving the final two, Brittany Hockley and Sophie Tieman heartbroken in the last episode.
Brooke later appeared on Bachelor in Paradise and claimed her exit wasn’t all that it seemed.
“My last day with Nick we were on like a motorbike. I thought there was definitely chemistry there and we’d developed something good. I thought maybe I would be the girl there at the end,” she confessed in Fiji.
“But then he stopped the cameras and smothered his mic to tell me that he wasn’t going to pick anyone in the end.”
“He told me not to tell anyone and, like, I protected him for that reason. It ate at me… I couldn’t tell the other girls and I felt that was really s**t.”
In the meantime, it seems like Brooke has found her new person: G-Flip. The pair have been romantically linked in recent months, even gifting each other with an adorable Valentine’s Day surprise.
