Britney Spears has confirmed her engagement to longtime partner, actor Sam Asghari.

Britney revealed the exciting news on her Instagram on Monday, posting a clip of her dazzling ring as she kissed her fiancé on the cheek.
“I can’t f**king believe it 💍💍💍💍💍💍❣️!!!!!!,” the popstar captioned the footage.
Sam also shared a photo to his Instagram, featuring the pair kissing behind Brit’s shiny diamond along with a King and a Queen emoji.
Britney and Sam originally met five years ago on the set of her Slumber Party music video in 2016.
Just last month, Britney praised her love for being by her side during her fight for freedom from her conservatorship.
Sharing a photo of the pair of them, the 39-year-old wrote on Instagram, “Not only has this cute a**hole been with me through both the hardest and the best years of my life but he happens to be an extremely good cook 👨🏽🍳! Fast & Furious franchise, don’t miss out on your next star 🌟🏎️👗🤓 !!!!”
If you’re unaware of the #FreeBritney movement, basically, Britney is currently battling for her autonomy after being trapped in a conservatorship since 2008.
The conservatorship means that Britney’s estate, financial assets, as well as aspects of her personal life are under the control of her father, Jamie Spears, and the Bessemer Trust.
On Tuesday, however, Britney’s father filed to end the court conservatorship in the Los Angeles Superior Court.
“As Mr Spears has said, again and again, all he wants is what’s best for his daughter,” the court document read.

“If Ms Spears wants to terminate the conservatorship and believes that she can handle her own life, Mr Spears believes that she should get that chance.”
But before you plan on throwing any #BritneyIsFree themed parties, there remains another hurdle to overcome. The judge overseeing the case, Judge Brenda Penny, still needs to approve the move.
