We all know that Adele’s upcoming album is about “divorce babe, divorce” (the singer’s own words via her Insta live).

But while this record is set to document her past heartbreak, the musician has found new romance in her life. Did someone say, Adele 33?

Yep, the 33-year-old is currently loved up with 39-year-old sports agent, Rich Paul, who famously signed with LeBron James back in 2003 and has expanded to other sports people like John Wall, Trae Young, Anthony Davis and Ben Simmons. You could call that a slam dunk… please don’t stop reading.

Adele told Vogue that she and Rich met years ago at a party where she drunkenly asked him to “sign her” as she was “an athlete now”. An icon.

Despite meeting all those years ago, they didn’t actually start dating until early 2021, making their first public appearance in July during the NBA Finals.

Adele and Rich went Insta official in September of this year when the musician shared a picture of the two of them accompanied by a heart.

In an interview with Vogue, Adele explained how Rich is better at coping with the media attention than her former partners.

“I did date before Rich, but they hated it,” the All I Ask singer told the publication. “They’d find it stressful being out or seen with me, which meant that I guarded all of it beyond.

“He’s not frazzled by it at all. It feels like it’s consistent and considerate enough that I don’t care who knows,” she said.

Before Rich, Adele was married to Simon Konecki. The pair reportedly began dating in 2011 before heading for the aisle in 2018. The singer has publicly said she will not reveal how long the marriage lasted.

Adele, however, has spoken about how the divorce was a confusing time for her and Simon’s now nine-year-old son, Angelo, telling Vogue he has plenty of “really good” and “really innocent” questions that she simply doesn’t “have an answer for”.

And so, the 33-year-old is using her new album as a means to explain things to her son.

“I just felt like I wanted to explain to him, through this record, when he’s in his twenties or thirties, who I am and why I voluntarily chose to dismantle his entire life in the pursuit of my own happiness,” she told Vogue.

“It made him really unhappy at times, and that’s a real wound for me that I don’t know if I’ll ever be able to heal.”

The Easy On Me singer also told the publication that there is a particular song on the album that serves to show Angelo how she expects him to treat his future partner. OK, but teaching your son respect through a song is beyond iconic.

As for her own expectations when it comes to how she is treated by a partner, Adele confessed that post-divorce her “requirements are sky-high”. As they should be Queen!!

“There’s a very big pair of shoes to fill,” the singer said.

Well, it certainly seems like they have been filled by Rich. Adele, we send our love to your new lover x
