According to the Hollywood Reporter, the new Hercules is in early development with the Russo brothers connected to the film, and Jon Favreau to direct!
The cast has not yet been released, but that doesn’t mean a thing to fans who are dreaming about THE Zac Efron jumping in as Hercules.

The original Disney Hercules film was released 23 years ago, following young Hercules (voiced by Tate Donovan, Marissa Cooper’s dad in The O.C.), who is the son of the almighty Zeus.
Hercules is forced to live among humans to prove himself worthy of living on Mount Olympus.
With the help of the satyr, Philoctetes, Hercules finds his way to becoming a real hero.
This satyr was originally voiced by Danny DeVito, and fans are desperate for the 75-year-old reprise the role.
Other dream castings include Ariana Grande as Megara, after she belted out “I Won’t Say I’m In Love” in the Disney Family Singalong.
Other fans are calling on Harry Styles to take on the role of Hercules, after he was offered the role of Eric in The Little Mermaid adaptation and turned it down.
