Good news fam, we’ve been given our first look at Zac Efron playing Fred in the new Scooby-Doo film and it looks hella good.

If this is the first time you’re hearing about the new Scooby-Doo animation remake, titled Scoob, than you are not alone. However, the cast is pretty stacked with A-list names alongside Zac including Will Forte as Shaggy, Gina Rodriguez as Velma and Tracy Morgan as Captain Caveman, so it is a surprise that this is only just starting to gain some hype.
Zac seems like a pretty brilliant casting choice as the slightly self-obsessed yet lovable leader of the gang Fred Jones, and we can already picture Zac voice behind the white jacket wearing, side-slick loving Fred.
While we are 100% HERE for the power 90’s couple that is Freddie Prinze Jr. and Sarah Michelle Gellar, the Scooby-Doo live-action movie from the early 2000’s was a slight disappointment, so fans (and us) are expecting BIG things this time around.
The fandom behind the mystery-solving group of teens is out in full force today, and people are pretty stoked.
Scoob is predicted to hit our screens around as early as May 2020.
