But who exactly is the next bachelorette and why is she famous?

Angie is no stranger to Australian reality shows, having starred on Foxtel hit Gogglebox from 2015 to 2018 with friend and roommate, Yvie Jones.

The duo also starred on Channel Ten show I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! Australia, with Angie and Yvie quickly becoming fan favourites with their down to earth sense of humour and hilarious one-liners.

The former Gogglebox star made a splash on ‘I’m A Celeb’, winning over audiences enough to make it to the top five on the show.

Angie confirmed she wasn’t returning to Gogglebox because she was moving out of her and Yvie’s home, though rumours ran riot at the time that the real reason for the ‘sacking’ was the duo appearing on a rival network for another reality show.

Foxtel’s TV director Brian Walksh told TV Tonight that the production company was ‘upset’ with the girl’s decision.

“From a promotional point of view, the issue that upsets Foxtel is the exploitation of the Gogglebox brand to market and sell another program.”

Proving herself to be quite the firecracker, future bachelorette Angie Kent said of Brian’s comments: “I gave up four years of my life — eight seasons. We brought home three Logies. If Brian wants to be disappointed with us going into the jungle, that’s his choice. I still very much love Gogglebox and will always support it, but I’m a big girl and I wanted to spread my wings. When I’m A Celeb popped up, I thought why the hell not do something that Gogglebox couldn’t offer me?”
