According to The Daily Telegraph, unlike season one, season two will not be filmed overseas.
The first season of Love Island was filmed in Spain, and according to the publication season two was supposed to be filmed in Fiji, however, the Island’s government backed out of the deal due to concerns that the show had a “sleazy tone”.
Even though Fiji was pulled, Confidential revealed that producers settled on Queensland for the show’s location.
Love Island announced their return on September 16 via the show’s official Instagram page, with the caption: “THIS IS NOT A DRILL!! Please try to remain calm while #LoveIslandAU makes its way to your screen.💜”
Sophie Monk will be returning as the show’s host, while Eoghan McDermott will be the show’s voiceover yet again.
You’ll be able to watch Love Island on Channel Nine.
