The first official teaser trailer for Joker has arrived, and as expected, DC’s favourite villain is back with a vengeance!

The origin story will follow Arthur Fleck (portrayed by the incredible Joaquin Phoenix), who fails at stand-up comedy.
His life turns into shambles when he’s abused on the street, hit by a car, robbed and made fun of.
“I used to think that my life was a tragedy,” Arthur says in the trailer, as we see him transform into his alter ego, the Joker. “But now I realize it’s a comedy.”
Yikes.
The trailer gives us a shot of the fictional psychiatric hospital Arkham Asylum, while playing Nat King’s “Smile” in the background.
Joker also stars Zazie Beetz, Frances Conroy, Marc Maron, Bill Camp, Glenn Fleshler, Shea Whigham, Brett Cullen, Douglas Hodge and Josh Pais.
