While Jon was being praised for his efforts, with Tormund reminding everyone that they are obsessed with him, Dany looked on jealously, with her piping hot cuppa coffee sitting in front of her.
For a show that costs HBO about $15 million per episode, it’s a pretty big mistake!
People were obviously living for it on Twitter.
Since the coffee cup went viral, HBO has responded in an email to Variety.
“The latte that appeared in the episode was a mistake. Daenerys had ordered an herbal tea,” the company stated in a press release on Monday.
“Things can get forgotten on set,” GoT art director Hauke Richter wrote. “[The coffee cup error has been] so blown out of proportion [because] it has not happened with ‘Thrones’ so far.”
