Uber Eats have released their data on our ordering habits for the last year and all we can say is wow. Australia certainly loves their chicken nuggs.
According to Uber Eats, over 83 million McDonald’s Chicken McNuggets were ordered in the last year! Sydney ordered the most nuggs, with Perth and Melbourne coming in behind.
A whopping 4.7 million burritos were also delivered and the most popular food ordered after midnight was a cheeseburger which is pretty unsurprising.
The menu item that was ordered the most was actually hot chips – and it’s the second year the humble hot chip has taken out the top spot.
We didn’t just order deep-fried food though, there was a 206% increase in plant-based dishes ordered from August to September, while Matcha also saw a 206% rise in orders – it seems people love the green tea powder!
And finally, in what is possibly the most shocking data, one person ordered Uber Eats 658 times in ONE YEAR. That’s nearly TWICE a day. All we can say is how can this person afford so many nuggs??? And, someone from Melbourne also ordered $914.25 worth of Domino’s in one order. Respect.
