FUN FACT: Did you know the comic that the show is based on is written by Gerard Way – former frontman of My Chemical Romance?

The star-studded lineup of Ellen Page, Tom Hooper, Emmy Raver-Lampman, Robert Sheehan, David Castañeda, Mary J. Blige, and Kate Walsh shared the disappointing news while at the MCM Comic Con in Birmingham.

Emmy Raver-Lampman (who plays Allison Hargreeves) was asked the question. “I wish,” she said, joking that fans should “call up Netflix.”

It’s shocking since multiple outlets in February reported that the series had been renewed for a second season.

“I am definitely shocked,” Emmy Raver-Lampman said. “We have no idea because Netflix holds all their numbers really close. But we are excited.”
