The Proud Family is reportedly getting a reboot for Disney+, with Suga Mama (kind of) confirming the news herself!

Jo Marie Payton (who plays Suga Mama) told Keke Palmer on GMA3 that her character will be doing ‘new’ episodes.

“Yeah, Suga’s large and in charge.

“That’s all I’ve got to say — except for Suga Mama will be doing some new episodes come February.”

Even though Disney is yet to confirm the revival, we wouldn’t be surprised if Disney+ brought back The Proud Family considering it was one of THE most popular shows on the Disney Channel during its time, and even got itself a television movie.

Yet another hint that The Proud Family will be getting a reboot is the fact that Disney+ hasn’t put any of the three seasons up on their streaming service yet, which would only make sense if they were saving The Proud Family viewing for a revival.

Jo wasn’t able to confirm whether production started in February 2020 or if the revival episodes will drop in 2020, but either way, fans are pretty excited about the prospect of our favourite family returning to Disney.

Even though we still have no formal confirmation from the streaming service, Tommy Davidson (the voice of Oscar Proud) also said back in August that the cartoon was getting a revival.

Between The Proud Family and Lizzie McGuire, Disney+ is quickly becoming our new fav streaming service (soz, Netflix).
