‘The Kissing Booth 3’ is officially happening

And it was filmed at the same time as The Kissing Booth 2.

The Kissing Booth fans are eating good this month. Not only did we just get The Kissing Booth 2 and recently chat to the cast (NBD!!!), but, as of just a few hours ago, we’re reportedly getting a third movie. And the best news? It’s already been filmed.

News of another sequel in The Kissing Booth film series broke earlier today in a clip on the official The Kissing Booth instagram. In the announcement, co-stars Joey King (Elle) and Joel Courtney (Lee) are seen walking together before Joel sends out a text to their The Kissing Booth fam—Taylor Zakhar Perez (Marco), Meganne Young (Rachel), Maisie Richardson-Sellers (Chloe) and Carson White (Brad)—announcing the news.

Then, in perhaps a surprising turn of events, after his somewhat reduced presence in The Kissing Booth 2, Aussie heartthrob Jacob Elordi (Noah) jumps onto a bean bag, staring at the camera and asks, “what’d I miss?”

In another clip, captioned “the gang is getting back together one last time,” Elle, Noah, Lee and Rachel are partying at the pool when Elle gets a call from the Harvard Administration Office. Awkwardly, she declines the call and tries to distract Noah from it, whispering in his ear before the two walk off to do anything but “read poetry and talk about his feelings.”

Ah, classic Noelle.

The cast also went live to answer some fan questions, where they revealed that the two films were shot at the same time. Oh, and Jacob had a lil cameo featuring his fully grown mullet.

The Kissing Booth 3 is slated to release in 2021 on Netflix, but fans have been expecting news of a sequel ever since the second film dropped earlier this month.

Spoiler alert but, uhh, the end of The Kissing Booth 2 left us with a lot of unanswered questions. Elle received college acceptance letters from both Harvard University and University of California, Berkeley, not to mention Marco *still* has some serious feelings for her and we still don’t know whether Elle and Chloe will become besties. Assumedly, the third film will address all this and if the sneak peak tells us anything, will feature more good Jacob Elordi content.
