If you’re sitting at home rewatching To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before on repeat, patiently waiting for the sequel, then this one’s for you babe!
Lara Jean Song Covey (Lana Condor) and Peter Kavinsky (NoahCentineo) are going to be BACK, because the sequel is FINALLY being confirmed.
Hollywood Reporter has revealed that Netflix is beyond keen to get the film started, since the first movie was such a huge success.
Paramount and Netflix are going to work together to create the film.
Writer of the novels Jenny Han has previously opened up about how keen the cast are on reuniting for a sequel.
“The whole cast would love to do it. I think we all would love for that to happen,” she said at Vulture Festival, according to Deadline. “Everyone has said that.”
The movie’s director, Susan Johnson told Entertainment Tonight that the whole team is “attached contractually if [they] want to do the movie again, which is super exciting.”
She also explained that Netflix actually like to wait a month to see how the movie does before they decide whether or not to do a sequel.
“Netflix said that their general timeframe is 28 days; they watch how well the movie does over the period of a month and once that’s over, they can make a decision about a sequel.” Considering the fact that the movie has blown up since its release, we can probably see a sequel in our future. “I love the fans being vocal about it, the more, the better.”
