OOOOH my freaking god wtf just happened on Riverdale?!
In case you bloody missed it, Chic Cooper (played by Hart Denton), ISN’T EVEN CHIC COOPER.
IMPOSTER ALERT.
It was revealed in the episode that Alice and F.P. Jones had a son that they put up for adoption – Charles Smith (Chic), and Hart’s character convinced them that he was that boy.
But in reality, he was Chic’s roommate… and he killed him.
WHAT?
“There were two different emotions,” Hart explained to ET. “One, I appreciated the drama of it. I think it’s amazing to not go in the path of what a lot of people think could be the situation. I think it’s nice to throw curveballs and it keeps the fans on their toes, so that it doesn’t become a predictable show or situation.”
However some fans were disappointed that he wasn’t the real Chic. (Same, we love you lil’ Dave Franco lookalike).
“I was very excited to play that [possible] dynamic of Alice and F.P.’s son,” Hart added. “I had started piecing that together and thinking about it and a lot of fans tagged me in pictures where they had combined Mädchen and Skeet’s face and it looks like very, very similar to mine.”
Well consider us shook.
