In case you didn’t get the memo, that Black Hood reveal on Riverdale was fake.

The whole janitor timeline was a mess anyway, so when it happened, we knew that storyline wasn’t over just yet.

However, we’ve come to accept that the show is now about Hiram Lodge buying properties, and tbh we could watch something similar on the lifestyle channel.

So Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, the shows executive producer, is ready to make the show exciting again.

He has spoken to EW about the Black Hood killer, revealing that janitor Joseph Svenson was never the killer.

“When we started, we had three likely suspects, so for the first half of the season, we were always dropping red herrings so we could pick [one of the three. As we moved into the second half, and we get back to the Black Hood for the last few episodes, we always knew it wasn’t Svenson, but for the last 10 episodes or so, we’ve had a pretty clear idea and have been writing toward that.”

KJ Apa has also previously told TV Line that he won’t be surprised if the Black Hood resurfaces.

“With more instances showing up that could hint towards the Black Hood still maybe being out there, it drives him to find justice,” he said about his character, Archie.

Guess we’re just gonna have to wrap this whole Hiram vs Jughead story up so we can get to the real drama.
