*SPOILERS AHEAD*

In the first few minutes, the biggest question on fans lips actually gets answered. Well, kind of.

Yep, Emison’s relationship is addressed and according to Emily they are still together (sort of). She explains to Mona that the biggest issue between the two was trust which in turn prompted them to take time apart.  TBH, it still seems off that Alison would even leave the kids behind to accept a teacher offer at Beacon Heights University.

Mona doesn’t feature too heavily in the episode but she sure does make a mark, especially in the pilots closing scenes. We are still scratching our heads trying to dissect what even happened.

It’s not all about the OG cast though, with a bunch of hot new characters to fall in love with. This includes Ava, Dylan, Caitlin and resident bad boy, Nolan whom are all still recovering from the ‘death’ of Nolan’s sister, Taylor.

Everything takes a turn for the worse though when one of the major players is found DEAD and from there we have a brand new mystery to sink our teeth into.

Now to the technical side – yes, the “Secret” theme song is back but in a much darker format. There is even some stunning violin melody covers of pop’s biggest hits including Lady Gaga’s “Poker Face” and The Weeknd’s “Starboy”.

Also, a big THANK YOU to I. Marlene King for her continued LGBTQI+ inclusion within every single project she touches. We totally ship Dylan and Andrew!

VERDICT: All we can say is we are seriously hooked and can’t wait to see what happens next. It has lots of potential to be the next big thing if it plays its cards right.

7.5/10
