It’s safe to say it’s been a tough year for beauty YouTuber Olivia Jade.
The 19-year-old became embroiled in a widespread college cheating scandal, when her parents were accused of paying $500,000 to get her into the University of California.
Olivia has been silent on social media ever since, after receiving a flood of negative comments.
But earlier today, she broke her silence with a birthday tribute to her mum, actress Lori Loughlin.
“one day late. happy birthday. i love you so much,” Olivia Jade captioned a throwback snap of the pair.
Her 20-year-old sister, Bella (who was also involved in the scandal) also shared a sweet tribute for her mum’s 55th bday.

While neither Olivia and Bella has spoken publicly about the scandal, sources say they are furious about their parent’s actions — with Olivia losing a few sponsorship deals because of it.
While US Weekly reported that Olivia and Lori weren’t on speaking terms in early April, their relationship seems to be on the mend now.
Lori and her husband Mossimo Giannulli both pleaded not guilty, but face up to 40 years behind bars if convicted of fraud and money laundering conspiracy charges.
