Nicki Minaj has defended Fifth Harmony after Tiffany Haddish used them as the butt of a joke while presenting the Best Hip-Hop Video at the VMAs.

Camila Cabello, who left the girl group over a year and a half ago, was nominated for a whopping five VMAs – which was something Tiffany thought was worth mentioning.

“She’s nominated for five VMAs tonight — five of them. I’m super proud of her,” Tiffany said, before adding: “So those of you watching at home: Hiiiii, Fifth Harmony!”

Ouch.

Camila shook her head from the audience and looked like she wanted the earth to open up and swallow her.

But it was actually Nicki Minaj that clapped back at Tiffany for her comment.

“Tiff, don’t be coming for Fifth Harmony because Normani is that b*tch,” she said.

Nicki is most likely referring to the fact Normani currently has the highest-ranking single on the Billboard charts of all the former Fifth Harmony members.

Normani’s collab with Khalid called ‘Love Lies’ is sitting at number 11 whilst Camila’s ‘Never Be The Same’ is at number 37.

Normani promptly tweeted Nicki thanking her for the shout out.

“@NICKIMINAJ I love you I love you I love you I love you I love you 🙈✨💖 You perfect queen you! Thank you for lifting me up. God is real. Now y’all know I love me some Nickiiiiiiiiiiiiii. Congratulations on tonight!!! Proud of you always.”
