Love Island Australia season two is about to drop in Australia, and as expected, controversy has already ensued.
The brand new promo trailer for the season has dropped on the Love Island Instagram account, causing quite a stir with some fans.
While a male and female contestant talks to the camera about what they expect from a relationship, the female can be seen wearing a religious cross necklace.

She says in the voice-over: “The woman’s role in a relationship is to take care of their man.”
“To cook for them, to clean for them. I do like the feeling of looking after my man and taking care of them. I am ready to fall in love.”
The man in the promo describes himself as “old school”.
“My values are a lot more old school than what’s floating around today.
“I treat women the right way. I was raised by a single mum. A girl can just expect me to be myself, just truthful and honest. I am ready to fall in love.”
Naturally, Twitter was lit up with commentary about the female values
“She’s living before 1950s can’t wait for the dramaaaaa,” one fan wrote.
“possible to hate someone on the show before the show even comes out??” said another, while another fan wrote: “wth this lady is stuck in ancient times.”
Yikes.
Recently, the Nine Network revealed that the incredibly messy-yet-amazing show is back and will be premiering on Monday, October 7.
The show was reportedly filmed in Queensland this year, and former Bachelorette Sophie Monk will stay on as host, as well as the show’s hilarious narrator, Irish comic Eoghan McDermott.
