Netflix has announced a global search for their next leading lady and it could legit be you – but there is a condition.
The streaming company is on a worldwide hunt for girls who are at least 5’10” (177.8cm) tall and between the ages of 13 to 21 years old.
Why the height requirement? Netflix is producing a comedy film called Tall Girl so it makes sense that the lead actor would have to be tall!
“One of the many reasons we’re excited to make Tall Girl is the refreshing way it speaks to this audience with humour and heart about embracing what makes them different and special using height as a framing device,” said Melissa Cobb, Netflix’s vice president of kids and family.
“We look forward to canvassing the world for our very own Tall Female Lead who can draw on her unique experience to authentically depict the challenges and the lessons wrapped up in this tricky stage of life.”
The lucky actress will be portraying 16-year-old Jodi, who is obviously mega tall and has to go to extreme lengths to survive high school where she is constantly labelled as “the tall girl”.
