Deborah Ann Woll (Karen Page) also shared her thoughts, looking back on the memories she made with her castmates, offering a special thanks to Erik Oleson, the showrunner of Season 3.

“I’m so sad that we won’t be continuing this story. Mostly I’ll miss seeing the friends I’ve made everyday. Thank you to every person who contributed to this series over the years. And to @erikoleson because of you we are going out on a high. @Daredevil .”

Vincent D’Onofrio ‏(Wilson Fisk) expressed his own thoughts. “.@Daredevil @netflix canceled. Yet Daredevil is still out there blood stained high up poised in the moonlight. Movement below him on the street. A flash of white moving through the sea of darkness Hell’s Kitchen. This image folds into a black suburban screeching into the night.”

The show first arrived on Netflix in April 2015, where it was an immediate success in the eyes of both viewers and critics.

The success of the show was the reason why Marvel pushed to develop an individual series for Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist, along with the spin-off crossover series The Defenders that ties all heroes together.

The Defenders was the first show to be canceled, along with Luke Cage and Iron Fist that October.

Thankfully, Jessica Jones and The Punisher are still working on new seasons, but fans are preparing themselves for the worst.

However… all these Marvel cancelations could mean something MUCH bigger.

Disney has set to launch their own streaming service named Disney+, where a bunch of Marvel properties will live.

In saying that, fans quickly realised that Netflix owns the streaming rights to the show, and Disney+ will probably aim for a more family-friendly vibe anyway… so for now, they’re saying goodbye.
