New reports are coming in that Channel Nine has had to halt production of Married At First Sight, due to one of its stars having to enter rehab.
Watch the most scandalous MAFS moment: AKA – the wine throwing incident
Married At First Sight is a certified hit when it comes to reality TV, and a big part of that success is the serious drama that often unfolds on the show.
As can be expected with the kind of dramatic storylines the producers are hoping to churn out, the ‘contestants’ mental health probably takes a serious toll in the process.
According to TV Blackbox, the word on the street is that the latest season of MAFS had to pause production for two weeks, and according to the publication, the producers changing storylines placed one contestant into rehab.
The goss all started from a man called Nick Gill who works at a Newcastle radio station.
Mr Gill has been saying he has a pal who is involved in the production of MAFS, and this ‘pal’ has confirmed that the upcoming season is going to be “heaps more off the rails” and have “heaps more partner swapping”, because we all know how partner swapping goes…looking at you Jess and Dan.
Nick Gill then told his colleagues at the Hit Network that it is a female contensatnt who has to be checked into rehab.
“They have had to check someone (a female contestant) in (rehab) because they have just gone so loose on the show, they (producers) were worried about their well-being.
“It’s a girl that is trying to consummate the relationship with her new husband – and he’s not into it, on the first night he’s just like ”oh we haven’t been together for that long.'”
Nick continued: “They have just started filming again after a two-week break because the producers were worried the show was going too far, we need to resettle ourselves, take a two-week filming break, and work out how we tackle the rest of the season.”
We have just one word:
