Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’ll be aware that the nation has crowned their new villain in the form of Married At First Sight Australia bride Ines Basic.
Despite her jaw-dropping comments and rude behaviour, one former TV baddie thinks it’s all down to editing.
Davina Rankin, infamous from her cheating scandal with Tracey Jewel’s husband Dean Wells, is speaking in defense of Ines.
“It’s fantastic that there is a Davina this year, it takes the heat off me,” she told The Sydney Morning Herald.
“Remember, we are guided in a certain way [by producers] so they could be just showing her worst bits.”
In the show’s defense, Ine’s behaviour from the get-go has been appalling.
Who can forget when on her honeymoon with Bronson, she repeatedly shouted: “shut the f— up!”
Davina advised, “I got myself out of doing a lot of publicity when I started getting labelled the villain, which was good and kept me out of that spotlight.”
And she’s doing just fine these days.
Speaking to New Idea, she admitted, “I am now the happiest I have ever been in my life so you have to take the good with the bad.”
