There’s something about self-isolating that give us a sudden urge to reignite friendships with people we haven’t spoken to in years.
Maybe it’s just that feeling that we’re all in this together, ya know?
It seems Liam Payne is feeling the same way, because he recently hinted in an interview that a 1D direction of sorts could be on the cards.
*Squeals internally* (Okay, we lied — we totally squealed out loud)
In an interview with the Sun, Liam mentioned that he’d been catching up with old pals recently — including Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson and Niall Horan (unsurprisingly, no Zayn)
“We’ve got a 10-year anniversary coming up so we’ve all been speaking together a lot over the last few weeks which has been really nice,” Liam said. “To hear a lot of people’s voices and seeing old content and different things that we haven’t seen for a long time or never seen before, it’s very interesting.”
THEN, he hinted that something was brewing to mark the band’s 10-year anniversary in July!
“At the moment I’m not sure what I’m allowed to say. There’s a number of different things that we are all working on to try and make happen and people are forwarding emails around,” he said. “But more than anything it’s just been a real good time for us to connect together again.”
Yes, we very much agree, Liam! TBH, we’d even take a virtual Zoom reunion at this stage — even if it’s ‘not the type of reunion Harry ‘had in mind!
