If you were sitting through Avengers: Endgame waiting patiently for Katherine Langford to pop up, chances are you were left a little disappointed!
It was teased months before the movie’s release that Katherine would play a ~mysterious~ role in the film, with many believing she would be Hawkeye’s daughter. However, within the opening scene, we saw that wasn’t the case!
Josh Horowitz spoke to Joe and Anthony Russo on the HappySadConfused podcast, where they revealed that they shot a sequence in which Tony was sent to the metaphysical world after he snapped the gauntlet (like Thanos), where he encountered a teenage version of his daughter Morgan.

“There was an idea that we had that Tony was going to go into the metaphysical way station that Thanos goes in when he snapped his fingers,” Joe said. “And that there was going to be a future version of his daughter in that way station.”
“The intention was that his future daughter, because these films are dealing with magic, his future daughter forgave him and sort of gave him peace to go. And the idea felt resonant. But it was just too many ideas in an overly complicated movie.”
So why was it cut?
Anthony explained: “What we realised about it was we didn’t feel an emotional association with the adult version of his daughter. So it wasn’t ringing to us and resonating with us on an emotional level.”
So what does this mean for her future in Marvel? Well, we don’t know. What we do know is that Iron Man is going to be replaced, that much was confirmed in the new Spider-Man: Far From Home trailer.
Will it be Iron Girl????
