Now, he’s back to provide material for the newest movie obsession: an adaptation of his most recent novel, Turtles All The Way Down.

Multiple movie studios had bid for the rights to make the book into a movie, but Fox won, as the author has worked with them in the past and had nothing but good experiences, (um HELLO The Fault In Our Stars and Paper Towns)!

“I almost didn’t sell the movie rights to my book, The Fault in Our Stars, partly because I’d had some bad experiences in Hollywood, but partly because that book was really close to me,” he said in a YouTube video announcing the news.

“It doesn’t mean there will definitely be a movie, but it means that there might be one,” he explained. “So now’s the time to begin inundating me with casting suggestions.”

Turtles All the Way Down follows a 16-year-old girl named Aza who suffers from obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD) and tries to solve the mystery of billionaire fugitive, Russell Pickett, in hopes of getting a major $100,000 reward.

The official summary reads:

“Sixteen-year-old Aza never intended to pursue the mystery of fugitive billionaire Russell Pickett, but there’s a $100,000 reward at stake and her Best and Most Fearless Friend, Daisy, is eager to investigate. So together, they navigate the short distance and broad divides that separate them from Russell Pickett’s son, Davis. Aza is trying. She is trying to be a good daughter, a good friend, a good student, and maybe even a good detective, while also living within the ever-tightening spiral of her own thoughts.”
