If you haven’t already watched Olivia Wilde’s directorial debut Booksmart, then you’d best get on that pronto.
Because there’s one thing we can definitely guarantee you about this film (apart from falling head over heels in love with it, of course), you’ll likely have joined the legions of people who have developed a substantial crush on young actress Diana Silvers.

In the film, the then 21-year-old Silvers stars as Hope, a student at the school protagonists Amy (Kaitlyn Dever) and Molly (Beanie Feldstein) attend.
The film followed A-grade students Amy and Molly as they attempt to cram years of high school debauchery into a single night before their graduation.
Hope is something of a fringe character — the school’s resident moody hot girl — until she shares a fairly major scene with Amy and takes on more importance.
But regardless of how much screen-time she gets in the film, the rare occasions in which Silvers appears have been enough to make audiences fall in love with her.
From her character’s effortless, offbeat style (she rocks a fringed suede jacket we now desperately need) and devil-may-care attitude, to Silvers’ own natural beauty and undeniable acting skills, social media is officially bewitched by her.
Of course, there’s the element of embracing one’s true self, even when you might be challenged. Speaking about the experience to Flaunt in 2021, Diana said of the film’s director Olivia Wilde that her dreams went beyond “just being an actress.”
“[Olivia said,] ‘I also want to write and direct — there’s a world that lives in my head that I want to see out there, too’ – that meant a lot,” Diana explained.

Where Have You Seen Diana Silvers Before?
Silvers started her career as a model, after being signed by Wilhelmina Models at the age of 15. She later moved on to IMG and has worked for brands like Stella McCartney and Kate Spade, and appeared in countless magazines.
The Los Angeles native studied acting at New York University, but dropped out after landing a role in Ma, a 2019 horror film starring Octavia Spencer (watch the trailer below). She’s also appeared in M. Night Shyamalan’s film Glass, TV series Into The Dark and appears alongside Jessica Chastain and Colin Farrell in Ava.

If you’ve seen Booksmart, you’ll have noticed how Hope AKA Silvers towers over her co-stars, even in flats.
Like most models, Silvers is super-tall, and according to her modelling comp card clocks in at 178 centimetres (5 feet 10 inches).

The model-turned-actress actually has two Instagram accounts. Her first, @dianasilverss, chronicles her career and personal life and boasts 784k followers.
Meanwhile, her second account, @dianasfilmdiary, chronicles her work as a photographer, a passion project she works on on the side, along with close friends Cole and Dylan Sprouse.
“I feel like I’m lucky that my friends let me take their photos,” she said a new interview with Flaunt.
“Because when you spend a lot of time with someone, you start to see them in a different way; when you take their photo, it’s already going to be different than if a stranger took it, because their guard is already down.”
Adding to her famous friends, Silvers previously revealed she met Cole at NYU and, after modelling for his photography work on a handful of occasions, began getting recognised as one of his friends.
“I do feel a weird sense of paranoia at NYU, especially since I’ve started hanging out with Cole. People have come up to me and said, ‘Oh, you’re the Cole Sprouse girl!’ That’s such a weird thing to say to someone,” she admitted.
Is Diana Silvers a Musician?
Silvers is also working on her musical skills on the side, while juggling her successful acting and modelling career. She can play the cello and is also a self-taught pianist and guitarist.
Silvers cites Taylor Swift as her major musical inspiration, and has confessed to being a full-blown Swiftie. She even occasionally posts videos of her music covers to Instagram.

In a new interview with Flaunt, Diana revealed she is working on the second series of TV show, Space Force, where she perfectly depicts the rebellious Erin.
And while COVID-19 put a pause on her 2020 film Ava, the starlet is back in business, with new film Birds of Paradise also set for release in 2021.
