The 21-year-old has landed the role of Bonnie Parker, one-half of infamous crime couple Bonnie and Clyde, in the upcoming film Love Is a Gun.

British actor Jack O’Connell will be playing Chloë’s partner-in-crime, Clyde Barrow in the movie.

“Their story remains ubiquitous in popular culture across the globe, yet few in this generation know the details of their intimate love affair and the circumstances that led to their notorious crime spree that captured the imagination of the world in their time,” producers of the upcoming film told Variety.

“Kike [Maillo, the director], Chloë and Jack are completely in sync about the character-driven approach we will be taking, and we feel lucky to have a creative team of this high caliber leading us forward.”

This will be the second time that Bonnie and Clyde’s story has been adapted for the big screen. Faye Dunaway and Warren Beatty played the gun-slinging couple in a 1967 film, while Holliday Grainger and Emile Hirsch also portrayed the couple in a two-part mini-series which aired on TV in 2013.
