Forbes is, once again, releasing estimates for who’s among the highest-paid TikTok stars and, once again, the stars are telling Forbes to mind their own business.
ICYMI, earlier this year Kylie Jenner defended herself against Forbes claims that her companies are lying about how profitable they are—which would mean she isn’t one of the world’s youngest ‘self-made billionaires‘ after all. Now, after the release of the Forbes new report on TikTok’s highest-earning stars, Charli D’Amelio and Addison Rae, who are the lists’ top two earners, have made some comments that have people wondering if there’s some beef going on.
The report estimated that Addison Rae made $5 million USD last year, while fellow TikTok star D’Amelio made an estimated $4 million USD. D’Amelio took to Twitter the next day, seemingly to dismiss the reports. “Why do people think they know how much money I make? I don’t even know,” the 16-year-old wrote on Twitter.
Pretty soon after that, Rae also shared a cryptic post, and many people were quick to guess that her tweet was in reference to the Forbes report. The TikTok Room Instagram account posted a photo of the tweet, which read, “So many people preach girls supporting girls until it’s someone they don’t like.”
Of course, the comments section was filled with, “she didn’t lie,” messages.
“#AddisonRae tweets out. We’re guessing it’s relating to her being on the Forbes list,” the account captioned the screenshot.
According to Rae herself though, it’s just another random tweet. “Huh? This has nothing to do with that, this is a general statement that I literally would’ve tweeted any day along with the rest of my random tweets,” she wrote in the comments.
So there’s no bad blood between D’Amelio and Rae after all we guess? And of course, just in case you were wondering, here’s the rest of the TikTok rich list.
