Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper said they’ll perform ‘Shallow’ at the Oscars

THIS IS NOT A DRILL!

For everyone wishing that Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga were Jack and Ally from A Star is Born in real life (AKA the entire world), your dream is about to come true because the duo has said they’ll play the movie’s theme song, ‘Shallow’, live at next year’s Oscars awards.

Gaga said she’d perform the song “one hundred per cent,” and her on-screen lover, Cooper, backed her up telling Variety, “We talked about that actually, because I’m such a maniac. I started texting her the whole pitch of how we should do it. So we’ll see. There might be a cool, unorthodox way we could perform it.”

There’s just one condition: the song has to actually get nominated for Best Original Soundtrack at the Academy Awards.

Thankfully, that’s something which seems pretty likely to happen given the popularity of the song (it’s been streamed over 101 m times on YouTube alone) – and the fact that Cooper and Lady Gaga are promising to give an epic performance can’t hurt their chances, either.

Now, back to watching this on repeat for the rest of the day:
