The countdown is on for the highly anticipated eighth season of American Horror Story and exciting new deets have just been revealed.
While we don’t have a concrete theme just yet, we can tell you that the season will revisit the “fantasy” vibe of Coven with a bit of Asylum mixed in (AKA the best seasons).
“We’re sort of getting back to the Asylum, Coven feeling. That’s the tone of it,” says Ryan Murphy.
“I think we’ve never done a season like it,” he adds. “It’s all very, very dark but very funny.”
The season is set 18 months in the future and will star Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Kathy Bates, Joan Collins, Billy Eichner, Cheyenne Jackson, Adina Porter and Leslie Grossman, among others.
All we know about the characters so far is that bae Evan will play a hairstylist and will be funny AF.
Meanwhile, Sarah and Evan (the longest running stars of the anthology series) will step behind the camera to direct multiple episodes ‘coz they’re basically experts by now!
