“Criminal justice reform is something that’s so important to me, and I can’t wait to share these stories with all of you,” Kim says of her Kim Kardashian West: The Justice Project doco, which goes to air in the US on April 5.

Fans will see Kim switch from reality TV superstar and pop culture icon to an advocate for prison reform, as she explores the cases of four prisoners who she and her team of legal experts believe have been unfairly sentenced

“There are millions impacted by this broken justice system, and I wanted to put faces to these numbers and statistics,” she says of her case studies, Dawn Jackson, Alexis Martin, Momolu Stewart and David Sheppard.

“I want to help elevate these cases to a national level to effect change, and this documentary is an honest depiction of me learning about the system and helping bring tangible results to justice reform.”

Keeping Up With Kardashians fans will remember how Kimmy made headlines in 2018 when she met with US president, Donald Trump to petition the release of Alice Marie Johnson, a nonviolent, first-time drug offender.

She had been serving a life-sentence since 1996.

Since Johnson’s release, Kim has taken up studying a law degree, while continuing her human rights crusade.
