Nicki Minaj announces she’s pregnant in glamorous baby bump photoshoot

Congrats Nicki!

Rapper Nicki Minaj just revealed she’s pregnant in a series of model-worthy Instagram posts featuring her baby bump.

The 37-year-old actual Barbie Princess of Rap announced the news last night with a photo of her cradling her baby bump aptly captioned “#Preggers”.

In it, she wore a chainmail bikini embedded with baby-themed trinkets and crocheted decorations, bedazzled pleaser heels and with some bubblegum pink lipstick, shimmering teal eyeshadow and neon yellow hair.

In another, she looked like the literal embodiment of Virgin Mary. Pictured in a lush green garden and emerging from a portal, the “Super Bass” singer wore a pure white dress with an opening for her baby bump, styled with what seem to be hoop earrings and an over-the-top chain veil that went from head to toe and beyond.

According to E! News, this is her first child with husband Kenneth Petty, who she married in October last year after more than a year of dating.

“I think I have what I was striving for, just happiness,” Minaj said at the time. “It was so hard to get to a happy place. Now that I’m there, I don’t want to compromise that for anyone or anything.”

Minaj said she was “overflowing with excitement and gratitude” over all the “well wishes” she had received from the news… and also made a sick rap flow about her pregnancy.

“Love. Marriage. Baby carriage. Overflowing with excitement & gratitude. Thank you all for the well wishes. 💛”

And in the comments, her friends and fellow artists showered her with compliments.

“You’re going to be the most amazing mommy sis 🤍✨🙏🏾,” wrote Normani. “My heart smiles for you. Congratulations!!!!!!”

“Congratulations,” R&B pop duo Chloe X Halle replied. “You look absolutely stunning.”

“Such a beauty,” Keke Palmer said. “Congrats, my love.”

Earlier this year and in a first in her career, the Queen artist broke into the Billboard charts’ number one spot with a remix of Doja Cat’s “Say So” and feature on 6ix9ine’s “TROLLZ”. So, coupled with this baby news, we think she’s been having a pretty big year.

Congrats Nicki! You’re going to be a great mum—plus, like, we can’t wait for your next album about being a baby mumma.
