Jacob Elordi may be quite busy cuddling with rumoured new girlfriend Kaia Gerber on holiday in Mexico, but that hasn’t stopped the actor on congratulating his former flame Zendaya on her recent Emmy Award win. If you recall, the internet pretty much lost it when pictures of the Euphoria costars kissing hit the internet.
Taking to his Instagram stories, the 23-year-old Australian actor wrote, “Congratulations captain,” adding in a black and purple heart emoji and saying, “bravo,” alongside a picture of her as her character Rue in the series.
Super sweet! While Elordi and Zendaya have never publicly confirmed they had a romantic relationship, the pair were reportedly seen on dates and with Elordi’s family in Australia.
Zendaya’s Emmy is a history-making win, btw. Zendaya is the youngest women to ever win the Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series and the second-ever Black woman.
“I know this feels like a really weird time to be celebrating, but I just want to say that there is hope in the young people out there,” Zendaya said during her speech. “I know that our TV show doesn’t always feel like a great example of that, but there is hope in the young people. And I just want to say to all my peers out there doing the work in the streets, I see you, I admire you, I thank you, and yeah, thank you so, so much! This is—whoa, OK, thank you!”
