Face masks but make it chic and fancy

As the World Health Organisation advises, PPE-approved face masks help stop the spread of COVID-19. So, here’s a few chic face masks to feel fancy and well protected.

Luxury Face Shields

A variety of different luxury brands and designers are creating their own high fashion inspired fashion shields.

Last month, Louis Vuitton revealed it was designing a luxury face shield featuring “LV-embossed gold studs, a monogrammed elastic head strap and trim in the brand’s signature “LV” print,” per The New York Post. The piece, which debuts on the 30th of October as part of Louis Vuitton’s 2021 Cruise Collection, will cost roughly $1,000 USD (so, approximately, $1,392).

Then, New York designer Joe Doucet proposed a face shield that not only fights against COVID-19 but can serve as a pair of sunglasses. Per Dezeen, Doucet’s design comes in a “curved, see-through guard that fronts a dark sunglasses lens and arms,” with the smaller shield used as a pair of shades.

But, nothing is as absurd and genuinely weirdly fashionable than what we’re calling the fish bowl face shield that feels ripped from the 1950s. Plastique Fantastique is a Berlin-based art collective behind iSphere, a new helmet-like face shield that covers your entire head. The shield is made up of two hollow and transparent half-spheres that have been glued together with a hole cut at the bottom to fit your head through.

And maybe, face mask dresses are the new normal?

As of this month, fashion designers have designed a… face mask dress. Pretty Little Thing has a number of long-sleeved body con dresses with a built-in face mask detail—little straps for your ears and all!

On the bright side, you’ll never forget your face mask again.
