When Alice McCall’s Spring/Summer 2018 collection hit the New York Fashion Week runway, we couldn’t help but notice models seemed to be wearing the beloved Aussie designer on their feet.
Sure enough, the brand has just announced their first foray into footwear to be released as part of their Spring Summer 2018 collection, Portrait of a Lady.
“Having just shown on schedule for the first time at NYFW, introducing shoes and accessories to our collection was the next step for the brand as we grow internationally,” designer Alice McCall tells us.
“When designing for the NYFW & MBFWA shows this year, I had the full looks in mind which led me to create shoes and accessories bespoke to each outfit,” she explains.
In true Alice McCall fashion, the shoes are fun and feminine – think lace, pastel hues and metallics – and already have the A-lister tick of approval with Kristen Stewart wearing the black silk booties at Chanel’s Cruise show in Paris last month.
The SS18 Portrait of a Lady shoe collection will be released in-store and online this August.
We don’t know about you, but we’re already counting down the days.
