Good morning to everyone but especially Zac Efron and Australian model Vanessa Valladares, the sweet gal who the actor is dating. The actor has decided to trade Hollywood for hammocks by the beach: Efron and Valladares have been hanging out a lot while the actor is in Australia. But who is Vanessa Valladares and just how ~serious~ are she and the High School Musical star? We did the digging for you.
Efron and Valladares have been linked for a little while now. Back in August the couple was spotted coming back to Ballina in NSW after a skiing trip to Thredbo. Recently, they’ve been snapped having lunch at Lennox Head near Byron Bay, where Efron has been quarantining since March.
Who is Vanessa Valladares?
The Aussie girl is a model, having shot campaigns for a few local Australian brands. Until recently she was apparently working in hospitality. According to a source via People, Efron and Valladares actually met in June while she was working at the Byron Bay General Store & Cafe.
“Zac met Ness earlier in the summer. They started hanging out in July and recently took a ski trip together,” the source shared. “You can tell that they are having fun. She spends a lot of time at this house.”

How serious are they?
While we don’t know for sure how serious the sweet pair are, we do know Efron’s pretty serious about a different love: Australia.
Fans will remember that Efron is on the hunt for a house in Valladares’s locale Byron Bay—which some believe could be an indication he’s also pretty keen on Valladares. Byron Bay also home to Australia’s surfiest acting empire: the Hemsworth brothers, so Efron would be in good company.
It comes after he cancelled his flight back to LA last month and extended his visa. Iiinteresting, we’ll be watching this space.
